The Western Australian National Football League Umpires Association was officially formed in 1953 to bring together the three disciplines of field, boundary and goal umpiring, and to form a strong bond between all members officiating at the state’s top level.

Currently the WANFLUA has approximately 130 running members and, in addition, 128 Life Members and 66 Hall of Fame inductees.
