The upcoming Queen’s birthday match between Melbourne and Collingwood marks the 5th MND Big Freeze game, in which footy personalities, players and the Australian community got together to fight MND.
This year, at the organisation of boundary umpire Ethan Lamont, the WAFL umpiring group showed their support for the cause in purchasing beanies and donating to the cause, raising $1060. Fighting MND holds a special significance for the group with previous strength and conditioning coach Luke Daniher being the son of Neale. The disease has also affected the friends and families of a number of other members of the group.
